Guidelines for Hub Use

    Special Event/Fundraiser:

  1. Think how you can connect people for inclusion, leadership, volunteering, etc

  2. Come with your preferred date and alternative choice as Hub gets booked quickly. Evening activities to end by 9pm, volunteer helpers required to escort participants to city transit terminal if needed.

  3. Use the Hub logo on all your promotion, be prepared to tell everyone about the Hub and to fill out an evaluation form for future planning and community connections.

  4. Consider the make up of your committee to include someone from our PDD community

  5. Hub facility is a “green venue” meaning we minimize garbage and prefer not to use disposables. Garbage and recycling to be packed out please

  6. Our philosophy is to leave the Hub better than how you found it. How can this work for your organization?

  7. Analyze your needs for food and beverages. Food needs to be brought in to Hub (if for sale) We have the these items available for your use:

    • 100 cup, 50 cup, 30 cup and 12 cup coffee/hot water makers.
    • 100 plates, an assortment of utensils, some round table cloths that you can launder if you use
    • mugs and cups
    • fridge for limited use occurring around your event

    * Please note that electrical appliances need to be spread out so we don’t trip the breakers

Guidelines for How the Hub Operates using the Inclusion Model:

  1. What help do you need to hold your session

  2. Can you meet with a Hub Volunteer/Leader who might be interested in helping you host your event

  3. Please use our Hub Logo on all of your promotional material.

  4. Please be prepared to tell everyone about the Hub and the goals of building community, connections and relationships.

  5. Please be prepared to fill out an evaluation form at the end with the following information:

    • why did you choose the Hub for your gathering?
    • what did you learn about the Hub?
    • did you or any of your participants have ideas for future community building efforts?
    • how many people attended your function?
    • would you like to be more involved with the Hub – formally or informally?
    • stories of connections, people sharing experiences
