Theatre

All Inclusive Theatre - Wednedsay nights from 6-8pm

Board games (used to be artsparks on the boards) - Play maker and writer, Matt Gould, leads a group of thirty-five actors young, older, from the PDD community and from the community at large every week at the HUB. They are getting ready to put on a play in June, called "Camp Dry Heave." They are making up stories and will be singing and acting and will also be making scenery and costumes, too. It is a lot of fun. Oh yeah, and "Board" is an old-fashioned way of saying acting on the stage!

Matt Gould loves to laugh! He also loves to teach acting and write plays and spend lots of time with his friends in board games where he gets to laugh - a lot! As well as working with that group, Matt is also the leader of Tree House Youth Theatre and makes art, too. He likes to ride his bike and walk and sing.

The Rights Learning Theatre Group

Presently working on their sixth production, this theatre troupe has received rave reviews across the province. This group of self advocates use theatre to inspire and inform others about important issues. Human rights, responsibilities and social justice themes are presented in entertaining fashion.

A new show is under way-now is the time to join! Any person interested in acting or working with us behind the scenes is welcomed to participate. This group does require a fulltime commitment to attending every Friday morning and to be available for shows at different venues.

Together we meet on Fridays from 10:00-11:30 for theatre games and rehearsal. Everyone is invited to bring their own bagged lunch and dine thereafter. Special events through out the year include a Christmas celebration, wrap-up party and fun road trips to perform out of town.
